We’ve teamed up with our good friends and long time stockists The Hip Store in Leeds to make an exclusive version on one of our classics.
The Hip Store has been sourcing carefully selected menswear since 1987 and they’ve been offering UW since our first season way back in 2009 when we only sold to a total of 9 stores.
As you may know, the Bakers Jacket is a Universal Works staple, a contemporary chore jacket named for our designer David K’s dad who was, you guessed it, a baker.
This version is made in lightweight but durable British cord from Britain’s oldest corduroy manufacturer Brisbane Moss. It’s also lined in hand-loomed Indian Ikat fabric, has an added neck tab and large back pocket to give it a more rugged and outdoor feel - perfect for a spring walk in "God’s Own County", flat cap on head and whippet in tow.
Yorkshire stereotypes aside, this jacket is a future classic.
Available from 22nd April in Navy and Olive Brisbane Moss Corduroy.
Numbers are limited so don’t hang about, available online and in store exclusively at The Hip Store.
