Lee Krasner | Living Colour

Lee Krasner | Living Colour

We picked up this book recently, from the Lee Krasner show which is currently running at the Barbican until the 1st September 2019. We loved the exhibition! If you are in London be sure to check it out!

An extremely competent artist from a young age, Lee Krasner was a strong character but probably not someone you have heard of so readily being as her husband Jackson Pollock, but this exhibition very much concentrates on her life and work.

She was an American abstract expressionist painter, expressing herself through paint and especially collage.

The exhibition is truly inspiring, there is an abundance of pattern, colour, texture and continuing development. She had the urge and need to create until her death at the age of 75.
