We have been working with one small jacket and trouser maker in Portugal for 4 years now.
When we found them it took us a while to convince them to work with us as we are even smaller then them! But after some persuading they helped us and made in small volumes. Now we are slowly growing with them and they are some of our favourite people and its always great to spend time in their factory working on new collections.
Like us they are a company committed to product and they care about what they do and how they do it. The business started fifty years ago when tailor Adelio Santos set up his own business making hand made suits. As the demand grew he bought extra machines and employed staff to help in the small factory he made underneath his family home. In 1985 Adelio built a new factory which is where production still happens today. When in 2002 he retired, he left the factory to three of his children who grew up with the old factory under their home and have garment making in their D.N.A. Paula is in charge of patterns, measurements and helps with production. Sérgio looks after the money and whatever else is needed. Carla is in charge of production, sampling, and deliveries. They are a true family company and a great combined team.
We love working with the guys as they have the facilities and the knowledge to make a truly quality product, and they are great people too!
Their success has seen their company grow to 23 employees and we always look forward to working and growing with them in the future.
