Corduroy.

Winter isn’t winter without the soft, familiar feeling of corduroy. As reliable as an old friend. More nostalgic than cotton twill. Smarter than your average denim. Good old cor-du-roi is like the warm waft of a freshly baked loaf or the reassuringly sophisticated aroma of bloody good coffee. Spun from top-notch cotton it’s made by weaving extra sets of fibre into the base fabric to form the vertical lines. These ridges are officially referred to as ‘wales’, which become clear lines of soft, tufty stuff when they’re cut into a pile at the end of the process. This time around its 8-Wale grade. Wearable and durable, it feels fit for camping, commuting or just a walk to the nearest pub.
