Cape Town, excellent clothes and delicious coffee: three things you would find if you took a trip to our friends and stockist Loading Bay in South Africa, who we worked with this year on a really exciting Future Friendship Project to dress the staff at their sister bakery and coffee shop Pauline’s.

Sharing our vision of Peace, Love and Soul in whatever they do, Loading Bay is a really special space, selling a curated mix of everything from farm goods and clothing to magazines, skincare, and anything else that fits with their purpose. The menu at Pauline’s gives focus to where the food and drinks they serve come from, providing a truly seasonal offering and creating a conscious community around specialty coffee.

We collaborated with Pauline’s on a piece of uniform, dressing the whole team in our classic Kyoto Work Jacket, with short sleeves and a dual branded label. In a poplin-like 100% cotton plain-weave Broadcloth, they wanted a simple and honest but robust piece, with that classic lightweight, summery feel. Perfect for the daily grind of a coffee shop, if you ask us.
