The Graduate Store x Universal Works.

Started in 2010 by three friends with a genuine love for clothing, The Graduate Store is a Bordeaux-based boutique that has now grown into a trio of stores and an online site, filled with hand-picked selections and exclusive pieces.
We met the founders of The Graduate Store back in 2014 when they were just a group of enthusiastic young guys. Now, with 15 years under their belt, they are known for their impeccable curation of pieces—which we are so proud to be a part of. As one of our longest-standing French customers, we jumped at the opportunity to create a special collaboration with them to mark their anniversary.
Across a jacket, a specially-designed chino, shirt and tee are illustrations and quotes from some of The Graduate Store’s favourite films (see what you can spot...hint: their store takes its name from one), and some of the score from Peace Piece, a 1958 improvised jazz piece by Bill Evans. The motifs are applied at random, and each piece features a unique embroidered illustration, making every item one of a kind.
Never missing a chance to celebrate, we headed over to Bordeaux for a special friends and family get-together at their store. It was, unbelievably, our first time at their store and it blew us away seeing what a unique approach they have to the curation of their brands and how they merchandise the space. Over drinks, we got to see the pieces in person, catch up with the team and meet a few new faces—including the next generation of Graduates, their sons!
After the store shut, everyone made their way to nearby bar Le Motel for a mini after-party. It was a great visit to a great store, and the perfect evening to mark their milestone.
