Two Way Zip

Two Way Zip

Many of our jackets and overshirts fasten with a 2-way zipper - with sliders at both the top and bottom - there are a few reasons for this, but mainly it is a matter of function.

When a jacket is worn fastened right to the hem this often restricts movement, reduces access to internal and trouser pockets and causes the jacket to ride up on the hips, which is uncomfortable but also spoils the styling.

In our opinion, a jacket worn slightly open at the hem has a more natural look and feel, this is why buttons work so well. But often the design of jacket calls for a nice chunky zip detail, so using double ended zips means your Universal Works garment will work with your body rather than against it, allowing you to style your jacket in multiple ways and adjust as you like.
