Stag Provisions opened their first store in Austin, Texas 10 years ago and we are proud to have been supplying them for nearly as long. 10 years on, they have stores in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and Venice, CA, and are still great fans of UW.
Universal Works have collaborated with Stag Provisions to create a special exclusive collection to celebrate their 10 year anniversary. The four-piece collection typifies the Stag style, denim, indigo, craftsmanship and modern workwear.
"We started this collaboration with the simple idea of indigo and denim and developed a few stories around this staple of the American wardrobe. From a lightweight, denim chore coat and Steve McQueen inspired short-sleeved sweatshirt to a hand tie-dyed corduroy woven and wool-blend cardigan, it’s all very STAG but with a healthy dose of British style.” UW Designer David Keyte
All the pieces are exclusive to this project: a new Bakers style jacket in lightweight denim with orange top-stitching, a recurring theme, suitable for a Texas fall, (lookout for this new style in the spring); our winter favourite, wool fleece cardigan in a new colourway, indigo, grey & orange check; short sleeve sweatshirt in plant indigo dyed jersey, classic Stag; Stag best seller our button-down Everyday cord shirt but for this project individually hand tie-dyed.
While Stag are celebrating in style with an instore party in their flagship store on South Congress Ave in Austin, with a Universal Works trunk show, some old school tintype photography by Lumiere TinType, one-of-a-kind chain stitch from Fort Lonesome, hand poke tattoos by Moonstone Tombstone, we will be carrying a limited number of the collaborative pieces.
David and Stephanie of Universal Works will be there to celebrate with them and want to say on behalf of Universal Works a great big thank you to Steve, Don and the Stag Provisions team as we are so proud to be working with them for so long and hopefully many seasons to come.
The collection is now available on our website and at Stag Provisions instore and online.
