Like lots of our projects, the story of our collaboration with Japanese bag experts master-piece began with mutual respect, underpinned by a love both brands have for the practical-but-beautiful things in life.

“I thought it was a big statement to call a brand master-piece, but after I started to look at the bags I started to believe that you were right. That actually, they were masterpieces.” — David Keyte, UW Co-Founder.

This year, we revisit the friendship between UW and master-piece that began in Autumn ’24, as well as the friendship between form and function. David is right—these are everyday masterpieces, whether that is the bags themselves or in the things we fill them with; our own personal exhibition of our lives through the items we lug around each day. Whether your master-piece bag is an addition to your outfit, or simply an object chosen for practicality.

“There’s a lot of fun to be had [in collaborating], and always something to be learnt. It’s so nice to collaborate with people who do something entirely different.”—Stephanie Porritt, UW Co-Founder.

This time, we made three bags—the Large Tote, the Small Tote and the Sacoche. With thoughtful extra features like detachable multiway straps and internal zipped pockets. All in three colourways; Black with a Navy contrast pocket, Olive with an Orange contrast pocket, and our Blue Swedish Camo with a Navy contrast pocket.

We took the language of master-piece’s bags and translated it into some of our well-known silhouettes, whether that be through our utilitarian Polytech fabric, or the smaller details like contrast tags and zipped pockets. You will find Tech Overshirts in Blue Camo, Black and Sand Polytech, Loose Pilot Pants and Pleated Track Shorts in Swedish Camo, our NS Bomber Jacket in Black and Sand Broadcloth, and a printed Tee in Black and Sand Single Jersey.

We tie it all together with printed dual branding; our ghost patch and the master-piece tag sit across each piece. Merging design and functionality, these are products that borrow the best from both our worlds, that were born from a true partnership.
