Universal Works x tokyobike

Universal Works x tokyobike

Universal Works teamed up with our friends at independent bicycle company tokyobike. Founded in 2002 in the quiet Tokyo suburb of Yanaka, now occupying stores Worldwide.

David Keyte a regularly commuter by bike himself, is a long-time admirer of the cycling brand and partnered up with their London and Toyko stores to create a jacket tailored specifically for the mechanics uniform.

The Jacket perfectly combines the style and aesthetic of Universal Works based on our classic Baker jacket with the added functionality of a bicycle mechanic in mind.

tokyobike's ethos is ‘as much about the journey as the destination.’ The brand's bicycles are designed to fit into a thoughtful, and design-conscious urban lifestyle. Designed in Tokyo, they exude their Japanese roots with clean lines and minimalistic style.

A limited amount of the mechanic jackets are now available in their London Shoreditch and Tokyo stores.

We have some exciting projects lined up with toykobike, which we can not wait to share with you very soon!
