We have just launched a special project in Tokyo. A new uniform collection designed and made for new Japanese courier company Logiquest.

The collaboration was initiated when UW Co-Director and Designer David Keyte met with the now owner of Logiquest: Daisuke Takahashi while visiting Tokyo. Daisuke asked David to design the uniform for his new young and dynamic logistics company. An area that is facing big changes and a staff shortage like many other businesses.

Daisuke's vision is to build the best courier company in Japan and change the image of the standard courier. To do this he needs to attract the right people by offering the best places to work and the best conditions. Part of that vision was to dress his staff, not just in a well-designed uniform, but a high-quality product too, something that he refers to as ‘battle dress’. He believes it can empower the wearer, as the cooler they feel, the better they will perform.

It was this inspiring vision that persuaded us to fully collaborate with this project.

The uniform collection retains a uniquely Universal Works silhouette and quality of make. Each piece is designed with specific fabrics and details that are hardwearing, easy-care and fit for the different couriers varied roles that range from riding motorcycles to working in corporate environments. All made at the same Portuguese factories that UW work with for their main menswear collections.

Logiquest understand the value of good design and high quality and that these things can transcend a company in a world where cheap corporate clothing is the standard. We are proud to be a part of this vision.
