Hotel Deluxe Winter '23: Act II

Twice a year, we take you on a journey to the finest hotel you've never visited. This season, it's a place where intriguing characters play their roles in an imaginary film, from the unassuming bellhop to the resident countess. Building upon the cinematic atmosphere introduced earlier in the season, the mood for the next instalment of Autumn/Winter '23 draws inspiration from a blend of cinematic greats; think Wes Anderson, Jim Jarmusch, Wim Wenders, and Spike Lee.

This time we've chosen Morocco as our backdrop, with Hotel Deluxe taking centre stage as a Riad — the clothing subtly referencing the rich palette of colours, textures, and patterns synonymous with this region. Geometric patterns are placed over subtle checks, with a special chunky fleece in a gold and brown two-tone pattern overlaid with block-printed paisley, reminiscent of the beautiful rugs you might find in the souks of Marrakech. Elsewhere in the collection the geometric theme persists, incorporating a blend of mixed ceramic-inspired patterns in a subtle two-toned patchwork of kapok cotton. All of this coexists harmoniously with hand-flocked devoré printed technical fabrics, blanket-striped flannels, overdyed cords and more, creating a truly eclectic mix of ideas.

As the film unfolds, and the narrative becomes clearer, we are transported to a future world where things are getting better, to a time when we all embrace PEACE, lead our lives with LOVE, and approach everything with our hearts and SOUL; a vision of hope and positivity.
