The Universal Works Kantha Jacket collection is on a journey. First shown in June at Merci Paris, now in Toronto with our good friend and stockist, Uncle Otis.

"Kantha" is an Eastern Indian craft that reuses vintage fabrics. The process of layering, repairing and stitching together old saris and dhotis, creates a one-of-a-kind textile.

The Universal Works "Kantha" collection is a first-class recycling project, where layers of history have been brought together to form one comfortable Universal Works classic. Made in our well known Bakers Jacket and Kyoto Work Jacket.

The collection is now on display at Uncle Otis in Toronto until September 15th, with a very limited number available for sale on a first come first serve basis.

The question is... where will the Universal Works Kantha Jacket's wind up next?...
