Exciting times ahead for the Universal Works team! Last week, several departments within our business made the big move to our new office in Nottingham Canning Circus, just a stone's throw away from our recently opened Nottingham store. 

Perched on one of Nottingham's many rolling hills, our new office offers a fantastic sight of the city and beyond, with the iconic Ratcliffe Power Station on the distant horizon. With just a few finishing touches and pieces of artwork left to hang, we are happy to see it all coming together. The building work is almost complete, including the installation of a new solar panel roof—now, all we need is some good ol' British sunshine to power us up.

This move brings positive change and extra legroom for our growing team: our production and warehouse department now enjoys additional space at the original office, and the kitchen can finally reclaim its true identity, no longer serving as a part-time meeting room. (Caffeine lovers among us can only imagine the despair when the kettle is off-limits.)

As a close-knit team, we are still adjusting to not seeing familiar faces around the kitchen table, but we've found more reasons to catch up with team pints at the local pub. Nevertheless, we unanimously welcome the extra space the new office provides. 

In reflecting on the journey, our co-founders David and Stephanie expressed, "This year marks 15 years of UW, and we couldn't be prouder of how far we've come. We still experience those 'pinch me' moments, and getting the keys to our new building is undoubtedly one of them." 

We will continue to put our hearts and souls into what we do—and who knows, maybe the sun will eventually decide to grace our presence and help power the new coffee machine too! 

So, here's to new beginnings and all the exciting things yet to come.
