The Bakers Jacket

We have come together again with our friend and Nottingham based stop-motion animator, Allan Buxton to produce a short, tongue-in-cheek film around the creation of the Bakers Jacket. 

The Bakers Jacket featured in the first ever Universal Works collection and, ten years on is still in every collection and remains a firm favourite.  Our Bakers Jacket takes inspiration from our co-founder, David Keyte's father who was a baker by profession. The Bakers Jacket adopts classic details from the simple chore jacket that his dad wore to work every day.

While over time there have been many variations alongside the original cotton twill version, the character and versatility of the Bakers Jacket will always remain true to its roots.
