DEKA is a pioneering furniture designer and manufacturer set on bringing a fresh perspective to design through its innovative, edgy and sustainable approach. It places itself at the threshold of fashion, interiors and materials, fusing art and craftsmanship to create beautifully unique designs. A new kid on the scene but not shy of ambition, DEKA aims for a global reach, designing and manufacturing contemporary furniture made in local markets. Priding itself on the honesty of its materials, DEKA has pledged a commitment to controlling its carbon footprint. Not only does it employ sustainable product techniques, but the materials used in each of its products are also fully traceable at all stages of the process, providing complete transparency regarding environmental impact.

We had the pleasure of kitting them out for their official launch last month at Village Underground in Shoreditch, London, as part of a bespoke collaboration. It was a celebration of local manufacturing, cross-disciplinary design inspiration, influences, and a thoughtful approach to responsible furniture design. The team, donning our Universal Works x DEKA jackets, delivered a vibrant evening with performances from the likes of legendary DJ Ben Santiago and renowned saxophonist Lovely Laura. Furniture pieces from their launch collection were displayed throughout the space, unveiling four designs with further pieces to be announced every quarter.
