Flower Mountain x Universal Works.
We have come together with Japanese footwear brand, Flower Mountain to create a capsule collection of clothing and shoes as part of our Spring/Summer 2023 collection.
Reflecting Universal Works’ seasonal mood, the clothing capsule includes the Swing Coat, Ancramdale Jacket, Manari Shirt (Chambray,Ecru Organic), Mountain Print Tee (Navy, Ecru), Loose Hoody and Oversized Sweat Shirt, many of the pieces are hand embroidered with Japanese and western themes and typography, the motifs intentionally highlighting the coming together of Universal Works and the Dandelion Mountaineering Association, a much loved theme of the Flower Mountain brand, all unified under a co-branded label.
The collection also features four footwear styles, the collaboration includes two variations of the Yamono 3 alongside the Yamono Uni and Camp styles, all made up in colour ways that compliment the Universal Works Spring Summer Collection.
With many big Flower Mountain fans in the UW team already, when the opportunity for a partnership came about, there was no hesitation. UW Co-founder David Keyte says,
“Flower Mountain's own mix of modern materials with a traditional Japanese sense of quality seemed to fit so well within our SS23 collection. While we are a product of our British aesthetics and local attitudes, we always do this with a global understanding and expansive vision. And the mixture of Flower Mountain and Universal Works seems to reflect that for us." - David Keyte, Universal Works, Co-Founder
Spring signifies the return of a healthy spontaneity and zest for life. For Universal Works and Flower Mountain, it’s all about good times with good people; the perfect time to try new things and make new memories.
The collaboration is presented as part of Universal Works’s latest shoot for Spring/Summer 23, photographed at The Birch Community in Waltham Cross, a big thanks to the team there for the amazing location. Featuring three people from the UW Family; David (Previously worked at our Lambs Conduit Street Store), Meshach (Nottingham store team member) and Luke (Soho store team member), it's all about an impromptu “Away Day” that ends with three pints of lager (or espresso martinis) , some freshly made soda bread and a pottery class with a bunch of mates.
Let the good times roll!
