One thing that unites us all and keeps us inspired and motivated, especially in a time of crisis, is the love for music. We asked a few of our stockists and fellow music lovers to share what tracks are keeping them sane during the lockdown.

Calico Jack  is the name of a notorious pirate, it is also the name to our new stockist in Venlo, The Netherlands. The collaborative effort of Rolph and Erick: they mix and match Italian sportswear, British modern, street style with football culture and a punk edge.
Rolph, who is the co-owner, DJ and a long time music festival programmer put a playlist together with Sjeng, their art director. The result is as eclectic as their store.

What is your all-time favourite “feel good” track to listen to?

All-time favourite? Starting with the hard questions, sheesh! We could name track after track after track and argue until our hair turns grey. I think we would settle on our favourite track of the moment: D’Angelo - I Found My Smile Again. It’s funky, disarming and you feel like dancing when the first drum hits your ears. We’ve been doing a few DJ-sets lately and that song has been played in practically every one.

Any musician or DJ you would love to see perform once the quarantine is over?

We both bought tickets for Lowlands this year. Unfortunately the whole festival season is a mess and it’s pretty clear that festivals are a no-go this summer. A bummer, but we probably don’t have to explain that feeling to anyone. Someone we were dying to see is Liam Gallagher. Just because of his new energy, punk, his on-stage coolness and power. Or simply because he’s one of our biggest store icons.

What are your go-to garments to wear during lockdown?

Obviously, lockdown should mean a lot of coziness in your clothing.   Rolph: I live in the Universal Works Track Trousers. It’s a comfortable pant for an everyday outfit and perfect for spring vibes.  Sjeng: As I’m slowly transforming into a guy who takes long walks just to kill time, I’m in need of some sturdy trousers. Guess what? The Universal Works Fatigue Pants are my favourites.
