In September 2018, Universal Works collaborated with one of our Japanese stockists, Museum of Your History. To mark the occasion, we held a pop-up in their store in Kichijoji, Tokyo, where UW founder David Keyte spent the weekend meeting with customers.
David entitled the event Museum of Your Future (making a play on the store name) and while there he showcased t-shirts exclusively made for the pop-up event. These collaborative pieces drew inspiration from pioneering references in London and Tokyo that were controversial and futuristic in their time.
In celebration of our new London stores, Coal Drops Yard (opening on October 26th) and Berwick Street, we have re-released Museum Of Your Future. The collection includes a print of a great example of London brutalist architecture, Trellick Tower, built in 1972, Yoyogi Gymnasium - the Japanese National Olympic stadium, built in 1964, as well as The Clash who formed their band in 1976.
