THE UW CARE GUIDE.

When we make something, we make it with the intention that it will be loved, worn, washed and repaired for years. But we couldn’t just send UW off into the world without giving you a little help in those departments. On this page are the facts—wash care symbols, packaging information—as well as tips and tricks that we have picked up over the years on everything from knitwear folding hacks to washing Wool Fleece. We will keep adding to this page, so we can give you the best advice, to the best of our knowledge. Because while we might know a lot about making great jackets, we are always learning about the wonderful world of clothing care.

Wash Care Symbols.

To save you from accidentally shrinking your jumper, bleaching your Denim or burning your Road Shirt with the iron, our guide to Wash Care Symbols is here to help.

Team UW Tries It.

We revamp our own slightly worse-for-wear pieces, referring to the care label and trying a few things we have picked up over the years. The results: UW that is as good as new.

To help keep your pieces from looking misshapen, stretched out or just a bit lumpy, we have put together a handy guide to hanging and folding your clothes.

Repair & Alterations.

Re-Works.

For when your UW has a tear, a hole or the elbow has fully ‘gone’. Our visible repairs service, Re-Works, partners with our local repairs expert, who works their magic with patches and darning stitches—which in turn become really nice badges of honour.

Need A New Button?

Lost a button on your favourite jacket or trousers? Hold off before you send the whole garment back to us. Instead, we can send you a replacement button, and give you tips on how to sew it on.

How to.

From sewing buttons to emergency stain removal (it happens), our tutorials give you the tools to tick off your to-do list.

Packaging, Recycling & Waste.

Kvatt.

For all the parcels we send out in the UK, we use reusable packaging from Kvatt. After you have made sure you are keeping everything you ordered, send your empty Kvatt sack back in the post. They then make sure it can be reused, reducing the CO2eq with every use.
