‘Kantha’ is a beautifully unique form of embroidery craft originating from the Eastern regions of India, that consists of the layering, patching, repairing and hand-stitching previously unwearable sari’s and dhoti’s into a larger, quilt-like piece of fabric.

These quilts are entirely unique, impossible to replicate and are often passed down through generations as heirloom pieces. Our Kantha quilts originate from Bengal, India.

We have made just 20, entirely unique, one-off Bakers Chore Jackets in this amazing fabric- there are no reproductions, the inside of each jacket is just as unique as the outer. Once they are gone, they are gone.
